ETO (from Green Source) is the actual Sterilant and carbon dioxide is used as a Carrier Gas or propellant in place of Freon or Dichlorodifluoromethane (CFC-12) which is a class-I ozone depleting substance and use of Freon is banned as they are harmful to the environment
